"To read a book about a country's cuisine isn't simply to go looking for 'good things'; it is also to better know - by means of the recipes - the customs and the richness or poverty of a place, and the spirit of those who inhabit it. It is above all, to participate in the symbolic celebration of the shared repast."|
~ Ginette Olivesi-Lorenzi, La Cuisine Mentonnaise

Savoring Tuscany : Recipes and Reflections on Tuscan Cooking
by Lori De Mori
Part of the Savoring Series, which is one of my favorite series of books about Regional Cuisine, Savoring Tuscany is a beautiful book filled with sumptuous recipes and delectable writing about the cuisine and culture of Tuscany. As with all the books in the series, Savoring Tuscany is put together beautifully and all of the recipes are well written and presented. The recipes that we tested were all superb and the book is an excellent source for fans of Tuscan cuisine.
Learn about the cooking of dozens of regions all around the world, and share information about your region in our Regional Cooks section.
No one knows an area better than those that live in a region or that love a region. While we will have lots of recipes and articles from food professionals, we want to know what is going on in your area from the people who know it best.
Let us know what food you and your family enjoy, what some of the traditional foods, ingredients, and recipes are for your area, what the current trends are, and any information about your region that others might find interesting.
You can contribute as little or as much as you want to this section. Everyone who contributes can have a spot on our contributor page (if they want) with a little bit about themselves, their web pages, or anything else they want to share.
Become a Regional Cook today by sending in a description of your region, the food, your favorite recipes, some ingredients, or anything else neat about your area. E-mail them to email@example.com or submit them via our feedback form.
